Here comes your prom night. Each year the questions are the same: What dress will I wear”? What hairstyle should I wear?”, “How will I find the perfect purse/corsage/shoes?” and more…
The questions are the same, but the answers are different each year. That is because each year the trends, styles and designs are changing.
On prom 2003 you could find outfits from punk styles to '50s party dress flair. A tea length, strapless gown with a full skirt was also a hit and the dominating color was Pink.
But on prom 2004 the retro glamour and the feminine / romantic look was dominating .
So what do you do? Do you go with the current trend, or stick to the conventional and classic prom look?
Here are some pros and cons that can help you decide:
Why go for the classic look?

| | | Tragic limo accident spurs regulatory bill | | Posted Wednesday, January 17, 2007 3:18:49 PM by Blog57 Team | | When teenager Molly Bloom lost her leg after being dragged under a limousine on her prom night, Rep. Gwyn Green had flashbacks to her own son's horrific car wreck. Now the Golden Democrat and other lawmakers are pushing for tougher regulation of limousine, taxi and other commercial drivers, including criminal background checks. The man driving the stretch Hummer that ran over the then-17-year- old East High School student last May as she stepped into the limo was charged with careless driving. Stanley D. Sample, a registered sex offender, also was accused of violating his probation by having contact with someone under age 18 when he chauffeured the teens that night. Green said the accident was even more of a tragedy because "the person who was driving was driving, in my opinion, in a careless and reckless way." "I think we really have to institute some way to protect the public from people who drive so cavalierly," said Green, whose son suffered a broken neck at age 20 when a drunken driver slammed into his car.... | |

The objective is to provide a fun-filled night resplendent with varied entertainment, prizes, activities and food. We also create an environment safe from the temptations of alcohol and drugs frequently associated with after-prom parties -- often with tragic consequences. Celebration 2006 was a resounding success. As we wrote in our note of thanks to the community last year, " in the cold and wet dawn that was Saturday morning, we came to find that fully 91 percent of the junior and senior class years had signed into Celebration. No less than 75 percent of those kids were still with us at 4:30 a.m. In the words of one of our volunteers, this was all an incredibly humbling experience and one that we feel proud to have been a part of." The event, which is free to all Bromfield juniors and seniors, is 100 percent funded by the generous support of parents, businesses and the entire community....
